With water pressure off, remove old cartridge from housing. Clean the "O" ring and lubricate it with o-ring lubricant or petrolium jelly. Tighten back on. Check for leaks.

 SC-605 acts like a water softener without using salt. This system balances the Calcium so it doesn't stick or build up in plumbing/appliances. SC-605 translucent housing comes with mounting bracket, wrench, softening cartridge RSC-5. 3/4" I/O. Replace cartridge RSC-5 every 18-24 months or when cartridge looks empty.
